The City of Charleston Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with community organizations, will host the 3rd Annual Juneteenth community celebration on Saturday, June 17.
The Kanawha Garden Club today presented bike rack barricade covers – honoring the memory of longtime resident and passionate gardener Sandy Thomas – to the City of Charleston to be used during events.
The City of Charleston, Kanawha County Schools (KCS), the Charleston Rotary Club, and Piedmont Elementary School today celebrated the grand opening of the new Celebration Station on Charleston’s East End with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
All City of Charleston Parks and Recreation pool facilities and the splashpads at Magic Island and Dixie Street Park will open Saturday, May 27. Entrance to city pools and splashpads is free.
Live on the Levee, presented by Moses Auto Group and hosted by the City of Charleston, will kick off the 2023 season on Friday, May 26 at 6:30 p.m. with Veteran’s Night featuring opener The Chase and headliner Hair Supply followed by fireworks.
