The City of Charleston is accepting applications from bands interested in performing during the 2025 Live on the Levee Concert Series—a family-friendly event that brings people to downtown Charleston for live music, food, and fun from May through August.
During this evening’s Charleston City Council meeting, City Council approved General Fund Budget Amendment No. 5 which allocates $6.2M from the Unassigned Fund Balance for key projects –including several that were outlined in Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin’s 2025 State of the City address.
Due to race route conditions, the Charleston Winter Series 8k run /4k walk that was rescheduled to January 19 (from January 12) has been rescheduled to February 2, 2025.
Due to forecasted inclement weather the Tuesday, January 7 refuse/recycling pickup that was moved to Saturday, January 11 is now moved to Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
Charleston native Harper Gardner was appointed to fill Council Member Samuel Minardi’s Ward 15 City Council seat during tonight’s Charleston City Council meeting. Gardner was nominated and approved to serve immediately.
