Martha Walker Resigns From Health Board
Former State Senator and West Virginia Secretary of Health and Human Resources Martha Walker has submitted her resignation as one of Charleston’s appointees to the Kanawha Charleston Board of Health. The health board oversees the Kanawha Charleston Health Department.
“I’ve known Martha Walker for 45 years, and I’m very grateful for her long service to the people of Charleston and the entire State of West Virginia,” said Charleston Mayor Danny Jones. “In short order, I will announce my recommendation for her replacement on the Board, and that nomination will be voted on at the next City Council meeting on October 1.”
