Charleston Land Reuse Agency Gathers Input via Public Meeting

The Charleston Land Reuse Agency (CLRA) held its first public meeting tonight via the Zoom video conferencing service. The CLRA asked for public input generally about what redevelopment or conservation efforts citizens were interested in seeing in Charleston and more specifically regarding parcels of land at 1514 2nd Avenue, 739 Central Avenue and 1502 West Washington Street. Per the bylaws of the CLRA, these meetings will happen at least twice each year.

“Tonight’s meeting garnered valuable insight into what our community wants to see in Charleston,” said Kevin Baker, Chair of the CLRA. “Most of the ideas we heard were community-focused and would really give back to folks within our neighborhoods. We are excited to continue these conversations and get some of our vacant lots and structures into productive use.”
