City Establishes Drop Off Location for Spoiled Food, April 4

Today, Mayor Goodwin announced the City of Charleston would set up two locations for city residents to drop off any spoiled food they may have due to the power outages caused by the recent severe weather events.

City of Charleston Refuse trucks will be at the North Charleston Recreation Center (2009 7th Ave., Charleston, WV 25387) and the Kanawha City Recreation Center (3511 Venable Ave., Charleston, WV 25304) from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. this evening and tomorrow, April 5, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to limit the items they bring to food waste. Residents can also place any spoiled food with their regularly scheduled trash services the remainder of the week.
