PARKS & RECREATION TO HOST MAGIC ISLAND EASTER EGG HUNT

(Charleston, W.Va.) – The City of Charleston Parks and Recreation Department announced the 2026 Magic Island Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, April 4, at Magic Island, offering a full morning of springtime fun for families.

  • From 11 a.m. to noon, the event will feature sensory-friendly activities for all ages, providing a welcoming environment for participants who benefit from a calmer, more inclusive experience.
  • From noon to 3 p.m., the Easter Egg Hunt will be open to children ages 10 and under.

Families are invited to get ready for an egg-straordinary adventure, with 17,000 eggs waiting to be discovered throughout Magic Island. In addition to the egg hunt, the event will include games, inflatables, balloon animals, a magician, rides on Hoppy’s Little Express Train, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

The Magic Island Easter Egg Hunt is made possible through partnerships with Electric 102.7, WQBE, and Kanawha County Parks and Recreation, whose support helps make the event free and accessible for families across the community.

The Magic Island Easter Egg Hunt is one of Charleston Parks and Recreation’s signature spring events, designed to bring families together for a fun, inclusive outdoor experience.
