HARPER GARDNER APPOINTED TO WARD 15 COUNCIL SEAT
(Charleston, W.Va.) – Charleston native Harper Gardner was appointed to fill Council Member Samuel Minardi’s Ward 15 City Council seat during tonight’s Charleston City Council meeting. Gardner was nominated and approved to serve immediately.
“Throughout his tenure, Council Member Minardi has served our community with integrity and distinction,” said Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin. “His efforts have left a lasting impact, and his leadership will be deeply missed. I am grateful for his service, and his friendship.”

Gardner was born and raised in Charleston, attended Charleston Catholic High School and later received a B.S. in Physics from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. Gardner, who worked for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources and the West Virginia Department of Transportation currently serves as the Director of Sales for English Meadows Assisted Living.

Gardner lives in Charleston’s South Hills with his wife, Jessica, their two sons Charlie and Tommy, and his two dogs, Indy and Giorgia.
