CITY OF CHARLESTON BUILDINGS & FACILITIES TO OPEN AT 10 A.M. TUESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2026

(Charleston, W.Va.) – City of Charleston buildings and facilities—including City Hall and the City Service Center, Parks and Recreation centers, and other administrative offices—will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Police, fire, and public works will report according to the direction provided by the department leadership/director.  

REFUSE COLLECTION 
Refuse and recycling collection is on normal schedule tomorrow (Tuesday, January 27). Service may be impacted on untreated private roads or where conditions do not allow safe access. If a route cannot be safely accessed, trash will be collected next week on the normal pickup day. (view notice)

PARKING
Rooftop parking in city garages will continue to be closed due to icy conditions.
