The City of Charleston Public Works Department today announced City refuse collection will only be modified the week of Thanksgiving – collection will be unaffected the week of Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Free compost will be available for pick-up at the City of Charleston’s compost facility on Hanna Drive (see directions below) Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., excluding holidays, starting on October 31 through March 31.
The Charleston Land Reuse Agency (CLRA) will host its third Developers’ Roundtable at the North Charleston Community Center on Tuesday, October 25 at 6 p.m.
The City of Charleston and Charleston Fire Department (CFD) today celebrated 50 years of Emergency Medical Services in the Capital City with the unveiling of an anniversary ambulance showcasing the original colors of the Charleston Emergency Ambulance Service (CEAS) ambulances, orange and white.
During this evening’s regularly scheduled meeting, Charleston City Council approved “Citizen Appreciation Parking.” This waves hourly parking fees at all metered on-street parking spaces on Saturdays from November 26 – January 1.
