West Virginia Symphony Orchestra and largest fireworks show by Pyrotechnico
The City of Charleston will celebrate Independence Day with a free concert by the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s brass and percussion ensemble and the region’s largest fireworks show by Pyrotechnico on Tuesday night.
The concert, featuring patriotic songs and musical favorites, will begin at 8 p.m. on the Schoenbaum Stage of Haddad Riverfront Park. Following two 45-minute sets with a brief intermission, Pyrotechnico will launch a fireworks show at around 9:45 from two sites along MacCorkle Avenue.
Matt Murchison, a national brass clinician and expert on brass band music, will lead the performances by the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra ensemble.
