LIVE ON THE LEVEE KICKS OFF 2023 SEASON FRIDAY, MAY 26 WITH VETERAN’S NIGHT AND FIREWORKS

(Charleston, W. Va.) – Live on the Levee, presented by Moses Auto Group and hosted by the City of Charleston, will kick off the 2023 season on Friday, May 26 at 6:30 p.m. with Veteran’s Night featuring opener The Chase and headliner Hair Supply followed by fireworks. Traffic will be impacted on both sides of the Kanawha River.  

 

At 12:30 p.m.: Kanawha Boulevard will be closed from Capitol Street to Court Street. 

At 3 p.m.: Kanawha Boulevard will be closed from Hale to Court Street. Capitol Street, from Kanawha Boulevard to Lee Street will close for outdoor dining – with Virginia and Quarrier Streets remaining open.  

At 6 p.m.: the Kanawha Boulevard closure will extend from Morris Street to Court Street and remain closed until the event and fireworks have concluded.

At 7 p.m.: Porter Road and MacCorkle Avenue will be closed to westbound traffic, MacCorkle Avenue and 119 will be closed to east bound traffic and Thayer Street and MacCorkle Avenue will be closed to east bound traffic. These streets will remain closed until the event and fireworks have concluded. 

At 9 p.m.: Grosscup Road will be closed at Bridge Road and Louden Heights Road. The Southside Bridge will also close. These areas will remain closed until the event and fireworks have concluded.
