Traffic Advisory | Edgewood Drive

A large tree is jeopardizing power lines, property and traffic on Edgewood Drive near the curve around the Cato Park golf course. As a result, crews from Appalachian Power are on the scene starting work to remove the tree and the threat. Power lines – and thus electricity to customers – will be affected during the removal process.

The tree removal also means traffic on Edgewood Drive will be restricted between Beech Avenue and Baker Lane until the tree is removed and resulting power outages are restored. Traffic to and from Edgewood Elementary School, Cato Park and Edgewood Summit will be directed toward Garrison Avenue. Most traffic from the West Side will be detoured at Beech Avenue, although local traffic will be permitted to Swathmore Avenue and Highland Road.
