Mayor Goodwin Administers Ceremonial Oath to Charleston Youth Council Members
Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin administered a ceremonial oath to the 2022 Charleston Youth Council during tonight’s Charleston City Council meeting. The 13 students will provide young people in the Capital City a voice in developing public policy and community development initiatives.
“We are thrilled to have a new Charleston Youth Council advise our administration on the needs and wants of our City’s youth. We’ve already seen this process work, as our youth were instrumental in the creation of the City’s first skate park,” said Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin. “I would encourage youth to share their ideas with the Council, participate in Youth Council meetings and be part of this youth-driven effort to make Charleston a more vibrant City.”
