TEMPORARY ST/SIDEWALK CLOSURE NOTICE: for July 24 - August 12

The eastbound lane in the 1500 block of Bridge Road (between Turley Road and Loudon Heights Road) will be temporarily narrowed or closed for gas line work. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.

MILLING/PAVING NOTICE: for July 30

WV Paving will be milling and paving the following streets.
Operations will begin at 6:30 AM and will continue to 6:30 PM.

Paving/Milling

  • Ravina Rd / From Oakwood to Bridge 

Motorists should use caution when traveling in this area.  Minor delays may be experienced.  Please follow directions of flag persons in newly paved areas.  Take caution not to drive onto newly paved streets.  Hot asphalt may damage vehicles.  Parked vehicles must be removed from the street by 6:30 a.m.  Please do not park on newly paved streets as car wheels may leave depressions in the asphalt which will hold water.  Residents will receive a paving notice telling them that paving will occur within the next 24 hours barring inclement weather.  It is not possible to predict exactly what time a work crew will be on a particular street.  Any questions concerning this work can be directed to the City Engineer’s Office at 348-8106

Parking: 

  • Free parking will be available in Shanklin Parking Garage (503 Virginia Street)
  • Parking is available throughout downtown in garages and meters.  
  • Public parking will not be available on the unit blocks (Kanawha Boulevard to Virginia Street) of Court Street, Laidley Street, and Summers Street.
