B&O Taxes, Court Citations, Municipal Fees, Parking Tickets and Third-Party Fees

Pay Parking

Parking tickets can be paid by visiting the City Collector's Office at 915 Quarrier Street, Suite 4. You can also leave your payment in one of the City’s courtesy boxes, which are located at the following:

• 400 Morris Street
• Municipal Auditorium Lot
• 500 Quarrier Street 
• Unit Block Laidley Street
• 100 Summers Street Lot
• 300 Summers Street Lot
• 100 Washington Street

When paying by check, please make the check payable to “Charleston Parking System.”

Pay A Court Citation

The City of Charleston - Municipal Court is open to the public from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and during all court sessions. Parking is available in the Shanklin Parking Building next to City Hall on Virginia Street.

Pay B&O Taxes

The City of Charleston broadly imposes a Business and Occupation (“B&O”) Privilege Tax upon all persons for the act or privilege of engaging in business activities within the City of Charleston. The term “business” shall include all activities engaged in or caused to be engaged in with the object of gain or economic benefit, either direct or indirect. In determining whether a business is engaged in for “direct or indirect economic gain or benefit”, the lack of profit suffered in said activity is not relevant; nor is it material that the business was engaged in without profit as the primary motivation.

Pay Municipal Fees

City Fire, Sewage, and Refuse can be paid through our Online Payment System at charlestonwvpayments.com. Payments can also be made at CSB offices: 208 26th Street W and at the City Collector's Office at: 915 Quarrier St.

Pay A Zoning Citation

Zoning citations can be paid by visiting the City Collector's Office at 915 Quarrier Street, Suite 4 or by visiting: charlestonwvpayments.com/permits/find
