MILLING/PAVING NOTICE: for September 24

WV Paving will be milling and paving the following streets.
Operations will begin at 6:30 AM and will continue to 6:30 PM.

Paving/Milling

• Jane St / From Albert to Westmoreland
• Picadilly St / From Evergreen to Claire
• Westmoreland / Going up the hill on the left and in front of 496 (storm damage repairs)                                                                          
   

Motorists should use caution when traveling in this area.  Minor delays may be experienced.  Please follow directions of flag persons in newly paved areas.  Take caution not to drive onto newly paved streets.  Hot asphalt may damage vehicles.  Parked vehicles must be removed from the street by 6:30 a.m.  Please do not park on newly paved streets as car wheels may leave depressions in the asphalt which will hold water.  Residents will receive a paving notice telling them that paving will occur within the next 24 hours barring inclement weather.  It is not possible to predict exactly what time a work crew will be on a particular street.  Any questions concerning this work can be directed to the City Engineer’s Office at 348-8106.

ROAD CLOSURE

The following closures will be in place to allow for placement of a crane to support roof replacement work at the United Building. The closures will remain in place for the duration of the project.

Closure Location: 

• Court Street: Northbound lanes and sidewalk, from Virginia Street to the parking garage exit
• Virginia Street: Left-turn lane, from Goshorn Street to Court Street

Access:  

• The United Bank Parking Garage will remain accessible from Quarrier Street.
• Motorists may exit the United Bank Parking Garage onto Court Street.
