MOECD Public Meeting Dates
PUBLIC MEETING DATES
The City of Charleston/ Mayor’s Office of Economic and Community Development (MOECD) will be holding public meetings as it develops the City’s 2021-22 Annual Action Plan to guide the allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funds, consistent with the City’s 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan.

• Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 5:30 p.m.

An allocation of nearly $1.8 million may be available to the City for CDBG and HOME activities. The City will allocate some of its CDBG funds to non-profit agencies for activities that benefit low and moderate-income people. This is a competitive process and interested agencies must complete and submit an application. Starting, January 14, 2021, please visit the City’s website at http://www.charlestonwv.gov/government/city-departments/moecd to access the 2021 CDBG Application, cover page and fact sheet. Completed applications can be mailed to the address below or emailed to Amy.Clark@cityofcharleston.org and must be received by 5:00 p.m. on or before Friday, February 12, 2021
MOECD will publish the City’s proposed 2021-22 Annual Action Plan project list in March 2021 and make the plan available for 30-day comment and review period. The Finance Committee will discuss the proposed project list at its second regular meeting in April 2021, City Council will take action on the Plan at its regular meeting on May 3, 2021 and the Plan will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on or about May 14, 2021.
